Finally...SNOW HILL is here!
You can purchase my new full-length novel wherever books
are sold!
Amazon.com is having a sale on BOTH The Reaper AND Snow
Hill, so you might want to check it out, or visit your local
bookseller.
This month, in less than a week now, I'll be traveling over to
Columbus, OH for Context 21. I will have on hand with me
several copies of The Reaper and I will hopefully have a few
copies of Snow Hill by that fateful time of me leaving.
In further news, I'm working on some cool projects right now,
including the second part to The Reaper, which has been
receiving amazing reviews as of late, buy genre specialists
and readers alike.
I plan to, shortly, have a section here where I will add reviews
that I receive via Mail/E-mail and on other web site from the
readers.
The newest title with my name on it is slated to come out in a
few months - WINTER FRIGHTS, which is a co-edited
collaboration between myself and David Montoya of Magus
Press.
In the meantime, I'm busy at work on several stories, which
is why it took me nearly a month to update here. You see, I
like to do everything myself, as much as I can. I tend to fall
behind now and then, but I catch up.
I love the E-mails every has been sending me about The
Reaper and Snow Hill. It means so much to me that you're
enjoying the stories I write. And in doing so, I'm giving a little
something back. It's something in the sum of $500!
It's a contest that you can write in to win just before
Christmas.
Here's how it goes:
On November 1st, I will post on MYSPACE four (4) questions;
two (2) from The Reaper and two (2) from Snow Hill. You
simply send in the answers by E-MAIL NO LATER THAN
NOVEMBER 30th, 2008 at 11:59PM (EST) and you could win a
VISA gift card for as much as $500! And as a bonus, the
winner will get their name in my next publication, as will the
two runner-ups in the random drawing!
All that is required is to read a couple books in about ten (10)
weeks and answer the questions.
Simple! No catches!
If you win, I'll notify you by the E-mail that you send the
answers from.
Just in time for the holidays!
Context was exactly one week ago today. And a couple dozen
people have posted numerous blogs about it; some insightful,
some drunken, and some....well, just weird.
I did have an exceptionally good time. I managed to get some
copies of Snow Hill for the event and got rid of 'em; I was able
to sell all about 10 copies of The Reaper.
I also got a copy of Michael Laimo's Dark Ride collection and
loving every single page of it, including one of my favorites
"Something in the Air." I highly recommend; actually, I highly
recommend anything with the name Michael Laimo on it, like
Deep in the Darkness, Dead Souls, Fires Rising.
Friday night was as good as can be. Keene invited me to the
hotel bar around 10pm, and so I showed up. We re-arranged
some furniture and sat and drank in the corner that stood
slightly higher than the rest of the floor. I might've had a little
too much to drink.
Saturday night was as good. We had a signing at the Shroud
party, which included myself and Gary Braunbeck, Tim
Waggoner, JF Gonzalez, Michael Laimo, myself, Sheldon
Hidgon and D. Harlon Wilson.
The Shroud party was awesome!
And now I have a few projects to work on, including two
novellas, a novel and finish up the third volume to Phil's Place
for Grave Diggers Magazine, not to mention a short story of
mine will be in Morpheus Tales #3 issue in January; Michael
Laimo will be in issue #4. You can visit Morpheus Tales and
subscribe at www.morpheustales.com
Mike Laimo, Jonathan Maberry, Joe McKinney, Nicholas
Grabowsky and myself among others were just involved in a
multi-author interview for Trei Magazine' October issue.
***Keep a close eye to the left of your screen, the DATES TO
REMEMBER section. I'm continuously adding dates to
promote my titles, like Snow Hill, The Reaper and some of my
older work like In the Wake of the Night, The Sound of Horror,
Phil's Place, Darkness Won't Rest, etc. And soon, I'll be
making mention about my new projects, which one, if all
goes well, will be a hardcover limited edition copy of a work
that has not seen the light of day since...2002, I think, and
even then it only made it's way onto 5 CD-Rom copies when
CD-Rom books were the new "IN."
In the meantime, check out Keene's upcoming novel,
Castaways, and look for Laimo's Dark Ride and Fires Rising,
along with rare Burke titles, Gonzalez's books and other cool
reads!
The big news in the week is my Rock & Shock adventure.
This year, I got to walk around a little bit more, meet some of
the other guests, shake hands and take pictures. I'm a big
fan of Michael Biehn and Tony Todd whom were bother there
ad both extremely nice - and Michael Biehn graciously got a
copy of The Reaper. Very cool of him.
I was also put on the Literary Panel along side (in order from
right to left): Jeanne Cavelos, Jack Haringa, Jack Ketchum,
MySelf and Joe Knetter; moderated by Johnny Butane and
Uncle Creepy of Dread Central.
It was a load of laughs and enjoyed every second of it and
glad I was apart of such a fantastic event as Rock and Shock
2008, my third year gong. I even met some cool friends of
mine on MySpace who were so kind enough to stop by the
booth and get a copy of The Reaper or Snow Hill - THANKS
YOU GUYS!
I'll say it now, ad I'll say it again a million times: I HAVE THE
GREATEST READERS EVER!
I'll be posting some pictures of me and the celebrities that
were kind enough to take pictures me. They're on MySpace
right now, but in a few days I'll have them up on here for your
viewing pleasure.
For those of you wo would like to see me in New Jersey,
please keep checking back soon for updates and date/time
may change, which is out of y control. And recently, I might
also be crossing into Delaware, so keep checking back. This
will be, most likely LATE OCTOBER!!!! SO PLEASE KEEP
CHECKING BACK OFTEN.
This weekend was my getaway to New Jersey; more
specifically, Paranormal Books & Curiosities in Asbury Park
and Atlantic Book Shop in Long Branch.
Like some writers, it's rare to have normal book signings
outside of the usual 100 mile radius. Usually I have signigns
all around my home state, several times a year because it's
close by; then, on occasion, take a trip to a convention as I
did in late August to Ohio for Context 21, and as I'm planning
to do on latter dates.
So far I'm having a good time, minus the sucky rain we've had
down here.
All-in-all it went okay. I'm currently working on several really
cool projects that'll be announced at latter dates, like
composing my first short story collection "Dark Chills." As
mentioned elsewhere, it'll contain short stories that have
been previously published from 2002 to Present Day.
All this and the other projects will be announced soon.
